BAAER at a GDPR compliance conference in Brussels
On June 6th BAAER’s Chief Information Security Manager Tihomir Trifonov participated at the Westcon GDPR Security Conference, which took place in Brussels.
Many big names in the IT industry presented their analysis of the GDPR compliancy and some of their commercial products, which can help enterprises and SME to achieve such.
Among the vendors were companies like: HP Enterprise, Cisco, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Symantec, F5 Networks and of course the organizer Westcon.
“Seeing some of the biggest players in IT industry gathered together on a subject like GDPR, show two major things. First – this new Regulation will have huge impact on all businesses on the territory of EU, which collect and process any kind of personal data, which mean almost all. Second – BAAER is already on the right track on obtaining knowledge from the best in the industry to offer to its clients the most appropriate GDPR assessment methodology and business solutions.” – says Mr. Trifonov upon his return.
Among the highlights of this high rank security conference were Data Encryption, Cloud and GDPR, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Privilege Management and of course – GDPR Compliance. All presentations are available at the conference site link.
Earlier this year Mr. Trifonov was invited to provide a presentation about the new Regulation (EU) 2016/679, known as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at the First International Scientific Conference on Digital Fraud and Cyber security organized and held at the University of National and World Economy (UNSS) in Sofia.
From here the slides from the presentation can be downloaded. And here is a 6-minute video with all the highlights (both in Bulgarian).
BAAER took part in these event as preparation to become one of the leading GDPR compliance consulting companies on the Bulgarian market.
